When one is employed, they are a representation of the employer at all times, and there is nothing wrong with an employer firing someone who uses language that may be offensive. A day at the office is not a Tea Party rally. Thank God.
I realize this is an old story, but I remember when this happened. So, someone should be fired over others ignorance of the English language, People who complain, should become educated and know what they are complaining about, instead of opening their ignorant mouth. The idiots didn't even realize the spelling is different. This is a huge problem with a certain segment of society.

Oh, and what segment would that be? Not mine, painted with a wide brush, I hope. The disintegration of our national vocabulary has swept across all segments of society, my friend, not just one.
Why are you digging up articles from 1999 to attempt to make a point? Stormfront should have some fresher material, if you want to give it a shot.
Couldn't people find a more recent news article to be angry about? I'm sure if someone searches the internet they can find a story about a Hispanic (I'm Hispanic) or Black person committing a crime.

The correct spelling is "*****rdly" and the origin of the word has nothing - but absolutely nothing to do with the derogatory term used against people of color. It is not a racial slur and anyone who thinks it is is demonstrating their ignorance of the English language.
Great, I see from viewing the preview that forum bad word filter will not allow the word to appear despite the fact that the spellings are different. Just replace the "e" with an "a" in your mind.
Ignorance of the English language?? So are you ignorant of the English language or are you able to cite the etymology of every word you hear?
Can you give me the etymology of answer and gossip without googling? How about awful (That's an interesting one actually)
