Conservatism works wherever it's tried. Unfortunately W and Arnie didn't try it.
Indeed, conservative business practices work really great in places where it's tried. No question!

We certainly could use more of this in America.
Here is the conservative wet dream for America:
* Easily replaceable, dirt-cheap labor.
* No pesky "socialist" unions whining about things like workplace safety and so-called "rights". [sneer]
* All this great, affordable merchandise to sell back to poor and unemployed, but happy, Americans.
Republican corporate nirvana.
What's not to like about this? Why union-loving liberals just don't get the free market concept is beyond me.

I chose not to vote in your poll but sure do wonder when you will post one about whose mess Obama will be inheriting in January 2013. I sure hope I can see it when you post it so I can vote that it surely is his mess, since he had 4 years and said he could clean it up in 3 years.

Nice try comparing a business in Bangladesh to one in the US.

That is the archetypical conservative "free market", union-free, regulation-free, business model in question. The ideal WalMart workforce...fail!

Nope.

Don't remember that.

The California House and Senate are run by liberals (mostly Democrats) and have been for decades.

Doesn't really matter who the Governor is.

As was the case with Bush, the Executives don't rule by decree the way a King would.

I voted 3-4 years, before the GOP mess in the Golden State is finally fixed. Thanks, Governor Brown!
By all means thank Jerry Brown. After all, he's the one who sold the state to the labor unions back in the 70s. And look who his biggest supporters are now. It will be interesting to see what happens from here on, since the Democrats now have the super majority in both houses of the legislature they wanted and a governor who will likely do their bidding. You seem to conveniently forget which party has had the majority most of the past 40 years.

Everything I mentioned is promoted on conservative media. Deregulation, no collective bargaining.
The "magic of the marketplace" if only government "gets out of the way" (referring to regulation).
An end to the EPA, FDA, all consumer protection, and others. Whatever federal agencies exist, corporations and the "free market" can do it better. What a crock!
So what else is there, laws? These are regulation.
Perhaps this is an example of the "regulation" republicans can embrace.
