I've known a number of slumlords (one was a prominent local Democrat), and while none of them were fabulously wealthy, they lived comfortably. There's a lot of money to be made off Section 8.
Medicare and SS are federal insurance programs for which premiums have been paid for decades. And SS is a LOSING deal for everyone except the low-income earners. Social Security a bad deal for all but low-income workers

FYI, SS came about to aid low income worker in retirement, why wouldn't it do so now? It wasn't developed to supplement a wealthy person's pension.
Medicare and SS ARE mandated by the constitution, general welfare clause. You might want to disagree but the case law is against you. You are in the minority.
