This guy is an idiot. You cannot equate security contractors who expect to be in harms way and a diplomat who is a civilian and represents this country. Iraq is a WAR ZONE. Libya is not.
You mean that he did not know the dangers of taking the position in the first place
Not a war zone? One of the contractors was hit with mortar fire while operating a heavy machine gun...All the vehicles in use were apparently armored SUVs..
It was not sovereign US territory. It was a leased compound obviously being used primarily as a CIA base. It was the sovereign territory of Libya.
Has no one noticed that all those who escaped were CIA? You think the consulate was running with no state department employees?
Face it. The place was a CIA operation and the consulate provided coverage of that clandestine operation. The Ambassador was there to hold a few meeting escaping the expected demonstrations in Tripoli. So far it sounds like his death was more bad luck than bad will.

Oh course he knew the dangers. That's probably why he called for more security but was denied it, especially the night of the attack. The question is who gave the order to stand down?
This is great stuff, notice how cowardly this network is when someone goes off script and dares to tell the truth. They cut them off and end the interview.....LOL
The Benghazi U.S. Consulate was considered American sovereign soil. Therefore, this was an attack on US citizens on US soil and it was considered an Act of War. This is a big difference why it needed to be hyped.
Embassies and consulates are not sovereigh soil of the country they represent. Yours is a popular misunderstanding.

You really want to stick with that line of thinking??
Yes . . . because the REAL issue is that the ambassador made multiple requests for more security based on reported terrorist rumblings starting weeks before the event. The requests were not only denied but then his security force was even reduced further just prior to the event. THAT is why it was hyped. (We needed Ironman to intervene to prevent the tragedy due to the incompetence (or worse) of the administration.)

Obama wanted no calls for war prior to the election and remains opposed after.
