This is an interesting piece about who will get the brunt of the blame if or when we leap off the fiscal cliff. It makes me want to jump that much more! We have to stand tough against the Republicans on this and remind them that we WON and they LOST. They act like they won and we lost! First and foremost the plans they have for Social Security and Medicare are DEAD DEAD DEAD. We are NOT going to cut benefits and we are not going to raise the age. It is already too high as it is now! Secondly, the rich are going to be taxed as they should be. 39% for an income over $250,000 is not that much. In fact, considering the vast majority of the rich pay only 13% or so now because of the insanely low rate on capital gains, if they don't like it, they can go pound sand as far as I care. The Republicans will cave. They cannot protect the rich anymore.

Boehner and McConnell knew this last summer when they refused to govern as well.

They took a shot that they could elect an R and by that to have cooperation to keep
the Bush era tax cuts in place... and probably to cut SSA and Medicare as well.

Guess what? They're not getting either.
The "fiscal cliff" is the Admin's ace in the hole.

I Am So Ready To JUMP Off This (Fiscal) Cliff!
