H.R. 2055: Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012

16 Republicans
1 Independent

House
Voting to cut embassy security
149 Democrats
147 Republicans

Total Vote for Congress
Voting to cut embassy security

Voting against cuts to embassy security
116 Republicans
36 Democrats

H.R. 2055: Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 (On the Conference Report) -- GovTrack.us

Was the refusal to provide more security caused by budget cuts to embassy security? “No, sir,” Charlene Lamb, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs.

So, there you go.

Can you explain why Obama refused to show leadership and push for party unity to stop the cuts?

Can you explain why Hillary couldn't motivate the Democrats to stop the cuts?

Can you explain how 199 Democrats voting to cut security is Republicans cutting security?

Is 199 less than 163? Do you have any peer-reviewed mathematical support for that?

De-Göbbelizing....

Well Mircea..you sure put the kabash on this thread bashing the Republicans and blaming them for Benghazi.
Kudos and it probably took all of 10 minutes or less.

I find it odd how Republicans decided to take issue this time a U.S. embassy was attacked. Why didn't they get upset about every other time our embassy was attacked?

It wasn't the attack itself they have issues with.

It wasn't just no security support, or (gee!) getting them out/safe beforehand (like I don't know how many others saw the writing on the wall!! ) - it was STAND DOWN (don't make a scene!) - it was trying to spin it away - 'POOF-IT', deflect, it was 'just' a ____ gone bad (minimize it), and there's an investigation (SHUT UP about it!), because an election was looming and Osama was 'dead' - 'problem solved'...... yeah, right!!
