The truth is NO PRESIDENT is ever REALLY "on vacation" - no matter where they may be. It's not that kind of job.

Then what is the point of you post? (Post #4 in this thread.)

You are not wrong. You are 100% correct. Time spent in Crawford wasn't all vacation.

He also met foreign heads there.

The thread isn't about Bush, its about Obama. Bush is ancient history and yes, for your silly record, I don't think Bush have done what he did either. Two wrongs don't make a right. And all you socialists sticking up for Obama, by using Bush is OLD. Bush is ANCIENT history, so move on.
The only problem is that when the next Bush-like GOP president goes on a trip to Hawaii or somewhere, we won't hear a peep from you..

It's to point out that ALL Presidents take vacation and to point out that the OP was doing nothing more than political "bashing". IF he's going to play THAT game, it works BOTH ways - and the GOP lovers are in NO position to fight THAT battle.

I'm not taking one side or the other, all presidents have done it. But damnnn, Obama has outdone them all, with regards to travel expense and frequency. An estimated 1.5 billion dollars so far for the President and his family's travel.

Anyone think that's a bit much?

As already mentioned, BUSH is the champ in that regard - NOT Obama. Did you think that BUSH'S time off was "a bit much"?

Estimates have Bush's travel expense at just over 127 million. Obama nearing 1.5 billion. Bush had 8 years, Obama 4.

Am I missing something?
