Oh please. This is the lamest arguement going. If you want to defend Obama, defend him, however this isn't the way.
If Obama was taking his family on vacation to North Carolina to see "the beaches," no one would complain. Its Hawaii. NOT NC or California. When people think of Hawaii, they think of sun, fun, etc. You don't think of fun "OMG!!! Were going to NC!!!" Sorry, it doesn't register that way and it doesn't work that way.
Obama is a ruling elite class, you liberal/socialists complain about. But he is your "god," so you will defend him to the ends of the earth. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.
so even though his family, his sister and her family, live in Hawaii, he should go to north Carolina, because Hawaii is too fancy? hell, why not send him to west virginia. or my hometown, Tulare, ca. I know it's in Cali, but it's much more like Iowa or one of the Dakotas

when you get thru humping obama's leg, try and see the difference in Bush going to Crawford where the SS is established and obama flying off to hawaii for three weeks.

I think that the bill should be divided up between all of those that voted for him.
It's embarassing to know I'm on the same side of the aisle as the ones that start threads like this.

President Bush spent much of his vacation time on his ranch in Texas - he didn't fly to Hawaii.
And you should add that Bush spent much of his Presidency on vacation as well!!!
It also seems many of you Republicans have a problem with the fact that Obama's home state is Hawaii.
Bush's home state was Texas.
So, where is Obama supposed to go to visit his family during the holidays? I seriously doubt Obama has many relatives living in Des Moines Iowa!
Don't criticize the Obama family because they chose to make Hawaii their home.
That decision happened long before Barack Obama was even born.
If you don't like the state YOU live in .... then move!
As for me, I wasn't born in California.
I decided myself to relocate to San Diego, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and I personally feel is only second to Hawaii in terms of a vacation destination.
U.S. News considers San Diego one of the 25 World's best places to visit. and they rank it behind Maui, NYC, SF, and Washington DC.
So if I became President, would it bother you if I flew home to San Diego during the holidays to visit my family?
