Your point is that they need $15/hr.
Really? I don't recall saying that. In fact, here is the post I did make on that subject.

$15/hr is essentially minimum wage adjusted for cost of living. That is reasonable.
You'll notice I never said they needed that.

My point is that they could use more but $15/hr is too high. This is what you are disputing.
I wouldn't say $15/hr is "too high" but it's not the only reasonable number, obviously.

I checked the calculator for Tarrant county in Texas.

Is the calculator stating that a person, depending on the number of kids they have, should deserve more pay? It said 1 adult with 3 children should earn 28 dollars an hour while two adults should be making 14.34 an hour, .34 cents over what the same evaluation claims is "poverty" for two adults, and in the same evaluation, it says that 1 adult with 3 children should be making 18 dollars more an hour.

Are they stupid?

If this is what they want, it is time for a war. We can see how much people are willing to bleed for. This is stupid, ridiculous, and anyone who thinks this is appropriate deserves a frigging bullet to the temple. This is insane, robbery, and theft.

It's saying that people who have kids require more pay to survive. For example, a person who has no kids might be fine working as a barista making $10/hr. But if you have 3 kids, you need to make $28/hr, so barista is not the appropriate profession since it only pays $10/hr. You should plan on being a secretary or something that pays $28/hr.

It's not saying that people deserve more money based on how many children they have.

The article makes a good point that these jobs are no longer just for teenagers or students, but now include all kinds of people who have lost their jobs.
Who's fault is it that she has worked for such a low payer (if she doesn't like it) for 8 years? How can anyone make almost nothing for 8 years and not find anyway to change that?
