Very true. And Hamas is indeed a Iranian proxy whose agenda is not really to serve the interests of the Palistinian people at all.

Nontheless, this is a good move in the right direction. Netanyahu and the "moderates" in his government have long ago been out maneuvered and hijacked by the right wing fundie element. Now Bibi is just an impotent puppet, merely trying to survive politically while his frienemy Avi Leiberman and the crazies do all they can to undermine the two state plan.

A message needed to be sent to the current government in Israel that the world is overwhelmingly determined to see the two state solution followed through, and will not tolerate it being undermined by a small group of delutional cultists who have cowered Netanyahu into allowing land grabbing unckecked.

There's no such thing as a Palestinian people and no such thing as Palestine. Israel needs to boot their asses back to whatever country of origin those people come from: Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and go about their day free of terror from the savages.

Go through all the resolutions. They were nearly all a waste of time, money and paper. Not one was serious enough to warrant a sanction. The most they were was warnings. The Palestinians could have had a state under resolution 242 in 1968 which Israel was willing to do but the ARAB countries didn't want and the PLO wanted to gain more than was taken in the first place. Calling it an "invading" is a little late since the land was taken in 1967 from ARAB countries that stole it from the 1948 mandate.
