During the campaigns The Romney/Ryan team suggested they would not give details since the details would come from congress. The House of Representative have not put forward any plans to show where the cuts would come from to balance the budget. Were we getting sold a sale pitch? Or do they think we will forget what they said about two months ago.

President Obama's proposal was what he had been saying in the campaign, so why the surprise from the GOP leaders. The hypocrisy continues....

There were never any specifics from Obama on any plan.

He was very specific. Obama stated he would create jobs, ensure everyone had a fair shot at success, and that he would tax the rich. How's that for being specific?

So what did he say? What's the proposal, since it was so clearly presented?

Tax the rich was Obama's public plan. Obama said he wanted to build from the middle class out but we did not hear the specifics of course.

So tax the rich, the rich lay off or don't give raises and he built the dependency class from the middle class out. LOL

Which leads to more unanswered questions OICU.

So what jobs is he proposing?
Fair shot at what?
What is he going to do to ensure everyone has a fair shot?

Obama doesn't have a freaking clue what to do about the economy. Not a clue. Demonize and tax the rich is his only solution. Damn, four more years of this, you Democrats are truly a bunch of useless dopes falling for this guys krap.

How does Obama "create jobs"? The GOP has passed a budget. It includes THOUSANDS of pages of specific cuts and priorities. There has been no such document from the White House.

A bumper sticker slogan is not a plan.

This is absolute nuts.

We have a trillion plus deficit EVERY YEAR right now. That means we are spending more than a TRILLION dollars PER YEAR more than we are bringing in, in the form of taxes.

Mr. Obama's plan of "Tax the rich" according to the CBO will bring in about 82 BILLION per year.

Mr. Geitner went to congress yesterday with a plan that includes the 82 BILLION in "Tax the rich" as well as a serious INCREASE IN SPENDING. Basically that means Mr Obama wants that new revenue to be used to increase the annual deficit.

He then stated that next year Obama would agree to "some cuts". Those cuts are unspecified and not garenteed in any way shape or form.

And you people are suggesting that Republicans arent being honest? REALLY>?

Good grief.

I could've sworn I heard Obama saying something about restructuring the tax code to reward companies for creating jobs here at home, and increasing taxes on those that move those jobs overseas

No, it wasn't too specific, but it did sound like a promising concept to me.
