By what Constitutional authority would they do such a thing?

And I'll join the others in asking, how can you (20Years) tell the ratio of straight vs gay people at their wedding? I only even see a handful of faces in the pews, and couldn't tell you for a hundred dollars if they're gay or straight. Really now!

I'm interested in the "couldn't wait any longer" line.

Since the one in the wheel chair seems to have a foot in the grave, is the purpose of this "marriage" to create a case for Social Security survivor's benefits?

14th Amendment - same way they struck down interracial marriage bans.

Probably a bridge too far since the ban on homosexuals marrying their own sex also applies to heterosexuals and the opportunity to marry a member of the opposite sex is also available to homosexuals.

In the Loving decision, the Court concluded that the VA law applied only to marriages involving whites, and since any non-white could marry a non-white from any other race, the law treated one race (whites) differently than other races and therefore violated the Equal Protection clause.

Not saying it won't happen, but it's a stretch.

"Nerve"?? Most brides today are not virgins, whether they marry a man or a woman.

So the one in white was the "bride"...

OK, then what does that make the he-ness without a penis?
