The Republicans didn't win the election -- remember?

Obama has the huge mandate, he's got the landslide election win. It's time he become a leader and not a wimp that will only try to pass the buck.

Or was he just lying when he said he would compromise? What's he afraid of? A little loss of popularity? That's not likely anyhow -- it's not as though his voters cared about the lack of jobs produced his first term. They just like him.

They were supposed to be temporary for EVERYONE, not just for the so called rich.

It's difficult to compromise when nothing has been put on the table by the other side to discuss a compromise about.

LOL, isn't that the truth. I have a feeling we are going to see a whole lot of campaigning in the next 4 years. Obama can't talk to serious people. He has a need to be fawned over.

Then a LEADER would put something on a table -- or why do we have Obama as president? So he can cower and hide?

Go ahead, GOP. Assume the public isn't paying attention. Keep up your lame approach to American politics as being "gods, guns, and gays" and that none of us can see through your smokescreen.

There are very solid reasons that millions of former Republicans like me now strongly oppose your malicious intentions. Reasons you continue to dismiss at your peril.
Europe had republicans too?

The leader did put something on the table. It is the GOP who is cowering and hiding at this point. No surprise there.

Perhaps they are trying to hide behind Norquist.

The LEADER did put something on the table--retiring the tax cuts for the 2%. What have the LEADERS of the GOP put on the table in response? Oh, that's right, nothing.

The LEADERS of the GOP expect the president to negotiate what they, the GOP, want as well as negotiate his own side. Meanwhile, the LEADERS of the GOP will sit back and do what they have done for four years--nothing.

GOP now pull revenues off the table. Your turn!

It doesn't matter what happens the liberals and democrats and media will blame the republicans. That is all they've done for the last twelve years. That is actually all they do. So the republicans should just step away and let em do what they want. The country will pay and they deserve what they get. You own this mess democrats. Deal with it. Stop blaming everybody else for this wreck that is occuring. You folks haven't even seen anything yet either is the funny part. Wait till they unload the global carbon tax and raise gas tax and steal folks 401K's. I don't think democrats will be happy until folks are starving and freezing and dying in the streets in every city USA. They will of course blame it on republicans.
