Yep... she flips back & forth between her hatred for Jews (or as she calls us, "Zionists") vs Atheists, but I think we're both on her naughty list. Oh well, I guess I'm getting coal this year!

Christmas is a national holiday celebrated by 96% of Americans. It is a Christian holiday to honor the birth of Christ.
Lets call this duck that talks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and waddles like a duck what it is. . .A celebration of the Winter Solstice (dies natalis solis invicti ) and a return of the sun.

I mean maybe a high number (percentage) Americans celebrate Christmas, but a good chunk of those don't celebrate Christ.

I'm Jewish so I prefer to not be greeted with 'Merry Christmas' but I don't get in a stink over it like some people do with 'Happy Holidays'.

Feliz Navidad.

Preferably while someone is handing me a large plate of Christmas tamales.

Thanks..........with my luck it would probably not come out so well.... This may be why Happy Holidays came in.........

But a smile will do just fine, too... unlike some people here, I really don't care as long as your intentions are good! I really don't understand how somebody could have a problem with this, when most likely the person saying "Happy Holidays" (or whatever) was only trying to be pleasant. I'm glad not all Christians are that angry and controlling, or I really would have a problem with your religious group & celebrations.
I do believe most Christians know that the "Greeting" is just that..... most are not demanding it be those two words.

Seems to me this sun doesn't shine much during winter.......and this Son shines all year long.

S/he hates Jews. Read her posts. She obviously resents that NYC has enough of a concentration of Jewish people to be noticeable and consequently disrupt her dream of everyone being Christian. It's gross.
Seems to me the OP was more against Atheist......I didn't see a connection with hating Jews, I will pay closer attention. I just figure P&OC threads are meant to be offensive to cause a debate, some seem to take these threads personal............

All these poor Christians. You have to kind of pity them as you witness them struggling with faith that is so weak it can be derailed by the words another uses to wish them well. Just imagine how they would fall apart if they were on the receiving end of their own intolerance.

Merry Christmas on Christmas.
Happy Holidays during the Holiday season.

Either way, I appreciate the greeting.
