The population of Indonesia is 242,325,638. The population of Australia is 22,620,600. It won't take long.

"ASYLUM seekers in Indonesia have swung into party mode and labelled Julia Gillard a "hero" after learning they will receive welfare payments and rent assistance should they make it to Australia by boat. The wannabe citizens are ecstatic the government has conceded detention centres are beyond maximum capacity and that asylum seekers would need to be released into the community while their applications for refugee status were processed.

I bet the aborigines wish they had had a more restrictive of immigration policy.

Those asylum-seekers are from Afghanistan and Iran and other politically unstable/repressive countries. Indonesians are not eligible for political asylum in Australia.

Great idea. Invite people who are 80% Muslim to live amongst yourselves and give them some of your money. I can't see anything going wrong here.
