The guys whole schtick is to get people's attention by righting outrageous columns.
Twitlock used to write for the KC Star and you are correct. Anything he ever wrote was to just get folks pizzed. Back then he'd just rag on the Chiefs though. Now everything is racist or now he's veered off into this gun control stuff with the shooting by Belcher. Guy is a first rate hack but he'll get a raise and promotion if he keeps it up by the lefty rulers.
