Default Why don’t we hear much about the religious left?

Because the loudmouth bigoted religious right has the public's attention. And in reality, if religious moderates and liberals don't denounce the loony rhetoric of the likes of Pat Robertson or Franklin Graham, then those expressing radical viewpoints become the de facto face of their faith.

Kind of effed up when you think about it.
Schizophrenia is a bit 'cooky', yes.
It's not nice to ridicule people with mental illnesses, but that would likely happen.
Don't know who'd kill him for it though.

This looks interesting. A person can be liberal with positive standards and morals, a good thing including gov where there are unselfish priorities allowing a person to choose behavior affording an individualistic impression of ego through the attributes of choice, within a persons will. This would be where we hear the importance of division between church and state. Promoting individual religious doctrine in leadership is wrong, because it denies choice necessary for individualism... human flourish is all that is required and most religions worth their salt underline the principals of human flourish as their chief objective anyway.Charity, peace and all that, all required for unity through a harmonious existence.

The problem today is that the entire liberal crowd do not have any basic morals which support human flourish... It is illogical for a pro left individual to be moral to the species and at the same time be a left winger with known left leadership , it fully lies and use's vengence. A moral person who is non religious would not stand behind a whole onslaught of outright anti flourish agenda's including disgraceful campaign tactics, Benghazi and so on. For a person to be pro left, a clear denunciation of truth is fully and absolutely required. People always voice their true individual meaning and personal declaration within their interior thoughts and mode for existence, to be pro left today and refuse argument in the use of untruths within the party and detach oneself, would be detaching oneself from truth itself and therefore anti human development or immoral. The entire left is creating an anti flourish momentum on top, of the normally expected mishaps and blunders that man makes toward an attempt at some moral good for mankind.

As well....the expression collectively is explaining itself more and more each day as boundary is virtually non existent for a moral-less society. Hate speakers and rave speakers who try to excite like a mob of animals, rather then enlighten and inspire with reason toward a setting which will follow reason....The system will work but not with massive greed and half with zero morals equipped with its need in thoughtlessness, easily seen in moment to moment radicalness and poorly thought out conjectures. All guesswork left positions from politicians and people for an insecure self esteem with no boundaries or morals. There are so many examples in left position which deny truth and reason its through the roof and guess what, everyone knows it. This thing is way past any religion. Heard a speech by Van Jones the other day ...a society that does not toss this guy away from the good hard working people, is a society in trouble. Freedom of speech is one thing, creating mob like atmospheres and violent tones will never-ever work toward what people need.

And why right wing Christian message resonates so well with America (even poor rural American voting Republican each time)?

I understand that USA is predominantly protestant country and protestantism was, among other things, a result of acquisitive longings of post medieval urban societies who developed taste for finer things in life, banking & accumulation, industry and independence (from the rigid rules of Catholic Church) and who were burdened by medieval welfare rules. But American version of protestantism absolutely stands out among other Protestant Churches. It's not a big exaggeration to say that mainstream American Christianity took all the "egalitarian" messages of the Bible, reversed those 180 degrees and adopted an upside-down message as their ideological foundation.

A. Equality? What equality? People are not created equal, thus social inequality is a must, and if you pray hard, play your card right, work hard, capitalize on your talents you can climb that wealth&power ladder yourself. That's a mild message of mainstream Christian America. Those suburban mega churches full of the social climbers have much, much stronger social Darwinistic message of inequality. It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich... That's definitely out of context, according to American Christian mainstream. Your material blessings in this world are a good indicator of your success in the eternity.

B. Beggars and freeloaders deserve what they get, they must have made wrong choices in their lives and deserve to be punished. Nobody is entitled for "welfare", nobody has the right to exist (except fetuses) unless he and his skills are marketable. That's drastic difference between Catholic and Protestant Churches. Catholic Church (at least verbally) acknowledged that every human being has the right to exist regardless of his/her marketability, thus, it's a duty of those who "have" to provide survival basics for those "who don't have".

C. The most Christian Nation on the face of Earth is founded upon usury and run by usurers. Most states scrapped their anti-usury laws.

D. Churches are run as businesses, tax exempt businesses that can make billion$. Priesthood adopted career aspirations/training & licensure, looks, language ! (pay attention to your sermons) and attitudes not unlike those of the upper level corporate management.
Why don’t we hear much about the religious left?

Because they're not extremist nutjobs who want to force their religion down other's throats nor do they want to live in a theocracy.

Everyone cherry picks to a degree. But the liberal religious to seem to actually spend more time trying to live the teachings of Jesus, where as Conservatives spend their time telling everyone else what horrible sinners they are and they abuse the Bible to do so.

Logically, there shouldn't be a religious "left".

The religious left Christians are very hypocritical. They try to act like they are always right and that the Christian right is wrong. They are just as annoying as the extreme right Christians.
