What are you talking about, this is nothing new; Dubya's been pro-illegal and has pandered to Hispanics for years.

Immigration reform aka ceasing all immigration and focusing on Americans, while deporting all illegal aliens and their anchor babies.

I bet Jorge means more 3rd world immigration and poverty though. These 3rd worlders will never be Americans. Their people didn't fight at the battle of the bulge or storm the beaches of Normandy or fight at Gettysburg. They are foreigners.

So you're saying the plight of African Americans in this country is different from undocumented immigrants?

My ancestors didn't either. That isn't what makes someone American.

George W. Bush: Immigration Reform Needed To Boost Economy
No surprise. Bush tried to push an amnesty aka immigration reform while he was in office and his fellow Republicans in congress shot it down, fortunately.

It makes no sense to legalize 12- 20 million illegal immigrants when our economy is faltering and there are 23 million Americans out of work. Even if that weren't the case it never makes sense to reward unlawful behavior. We need these people like a hole in the head. They aren't doing anything for our economy now a in fact are a tax burden to us and they certainly won't be boosting our economy by allowing them to remain here. We already allow in over a million legal immigrants per year based on OUR needs.

Any scheme that doesn't START with a remedy for the overly broad language
in the 14th Amendment doesn't warrant anything but contempt.

The US is the ONLY Western Nation that allows birth right citizenship.
Not even Mexico grants citizenship to the offspring of illegals.

Apparently we have learned nothing from 1986.

Foreigners make a mockery of our immigration laws. I can't blame them. Are we going to have amnesties every 2, 3 decades now? What a bunch of crap.
