Amy legislation that assists the vulnerable is automatically condemned by the right. Why is that?

It's felt by Republicans that supposedly needy people should not get anything free from the government, because so many, being deadbeats, are not worthy of such help.

"Why do a conservatives/libertarians hate the poor and minorities?"

Why do liberals/progressives over generalize, race bait and try to force-feed class warfare?

And yet they turn a blind eye to Corporate Welfare

Giving money to the Rich is OK, but giving it to the poor and disadvantaged is forbidden?.

It's cause they "worked hard" to get that handout.

You assume that any piece of legislation that targets poverty will actually be beneficial to the poor.

If you want a serious and thoughtful response, you should make your thread title serious and thoughtful. I'm so sick of seeing ignorant thread titles that start with "Why do Liberals/Democrats hate ( )" or "Why do "Conservatives/Libertarians hate ( )". If you start a thread with that title, you are not serious about the issue you are going to discuss. The election is over, quit trying to create political ammunition.

I don't think they necessarily do since many of the poorest states in the nation regularly vote Republican.
