By having an abortion they are dealing with the consequences.
My thought exactly. Denying a woman the right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is like denying a person antibiotics when they contract an STD. They knew the consequences, so we should leave them to deal with it, right?
It's gross that you consider the natural process of creating life "mutilation".
I wouldn't use the word mutilation, but nature is far from perfect, and some women can undergo serious issues during pregnancy and delivery. Preeclampsia, complications from a c-section, hemorrhage, damage to structures that puts her at higher risk from incontinence would be a few examples. Some of these issues have a risk of death attached to them. That risk may have been minimized with modern medicine, but it still there.

That's a silly argument. You know good and well that an STD does not compare to the life of a child.
Antiobiotics for STDs does not rob the life of a child from another person.
Contraceptives can fail. No method is 100% proof and methods which depend on the user are more likely to fail (condoms, the pill, nuvaring, patches, depo).
I agree with this. Responsible adults should be aware of this as well. We can't do anything about the irresponsible ones... they're a lost cause. But the responsible ones should discuss what they would do if their choice of contraceptive fails before taking on the risk. It's called risk mitigation.

Men forcing themselves onto women is a separate issue. I don't think anyone in this thread is supporting this kind of behavior. The scenarios being discussed here are two consenting adults.
No, I'm in the top 2-3% as far as education goes. However, female scientists, engineers, and lawyers are not chicks I'd want to spend my time with, are usually unattractive, and often have garbage personalities.
Reading this thread I'm surprised that some of the guys who brag they bang one woman after another are opposed to women actually having them. Like they'd really want to be involved in any meaningful way if one of their conquests became pregnant.

You should read the thread that you just posted in. This has already been discussed more than once. Everyone has more or less agreed that an abortion is warranted if the doctor feels the woman's life is at risk.
