Yeah, now that domestic terrorism has been reduced to workplace violence, there's no more reason for the country to be on guard for terrorism. And shutting down the military would help to eliminating that workplace violence altogether, eh?

I want to reiterate that Rand Paul is an idiot. The only way to pass legislation in the House is that some republicans would have to vote for the bill, the Democratic party doesn't have enough votes to get any legislation passed with their vote alone.

Damn conservatives are stupid.

Republicans in the House just have to vote "present". I'm with Rand Paul on this. Give the crybaby Dems what they want. I am sick and tired of hearing that R's are "the party of NO" and "holding the American people hostage". ********* Dems, you voted The One back in, YOU can own the final crash and burn of America. Not our fault. We tried to stop you, you wouldn't listen.

When you have Ann Coulter arguing the Democratic points, you might as well give up.

This really is the only choice for the republican party. Republican voters know what way the train is going. Might as well get out of the way and let it race off the track. Anyone who thinks its "only" a tax on the 2% is delusional. Thats just a start.. Anyone who pays taxes at all will feel the pinch by the time this is done. Let obama have his plan inforced. Lets see the cuts deferred and the taxes go in effect imeditatly. Then those deferred cuts get deferred again... And again... While adding more stimulus... QE3,4,....10....

Sometimes you have to give the nieve what they want to get them to wake up and realize thats not what they really wanted.
There are no tax cuts that will be in jeopardy if no deal is reached. If there is no agreement, taxes are going up for everybody. So, the Prevaricator-in-Chief is claiming that if an agreement is reached, and the "fiscal cliff" is avoided, that would be the same as a tax cut! But there is no tax cut being considered as part of his "deal."

This is the way they operate. Base line budgeting means that if they reduce the amount of increase, they call that a "cut." Even though the spending still goes up!
