In September of this year Alaska was hit by a category 1 typhoon, followed by two more storms back to back. Extensive flooding occurred throughout south central Alaska. Not unlike the northeastern States after hurricane Sandy and another storm front collided in October. Below is a video I made of some of the damage in Alaska.
Then comes the General Election. The northeastern States vote for Obama, and Alaska votes for Romney. Guess which State is not getting a single penny from FEMA?

Also you sound like a republican, and republicans want small government, government out of our lives, no welfare, and no government assistance for people.

Except that the federal government did contribute and used the Navy to assist.
But the whole bankrupt idea that the federal government hinders and not helps is undercut by how states request assistance.
This bunch believes the government can do nothing right except concoct elaborate schemes to control the RWNJ population. Please pick one guys. Government can or cannot do complicated things?
FEMA was created to provide aid for places too poor to afford insurance or for events so large they would force insurance companies to borrow money to meet the claims. In reality FEMA insures the insurance companies not the victims of the tragedy.
The above is what liberals really think. This shows that they are actually fascists at heart, who have no regard for the uniform recognition of liberty and the rule of law for all citizens.
The shocking thing is that liberals do not realize the devience of their views. These sentiments, of course, have been held dear by every totaltiarian regime in the 20th century. First off your thread title is a lie. Not to mention the damage suffered during those storms aren't even remotely in the same ballpark as Sandy. Not to mention, from the article you linked to, while FEMA is not giving direct money to individuals they are going in with the state on a joint program to pay for repairs. So again your thread title is a lie.
