So this administration's continuous claims to be 'conservative" are not necessarily so?
I trust law created by a representative assembly provide for the lame, the halt, the insane and, maybe, the merely incompetent before I'll count on the generosity of individuals.
There are no shades of grey between capitalism and communism? All countries exist in some shade of grey between the two, and the US is no exception. We were far closer to "communism" back in the 60's and 70's, when we were "fighting the communists." One could just as easily say that the PATRIOT Act and the war in Iraq are steps on the way to "fascist imperialism..." which isn't really true (just like the other statement isn't true)... but Hitler was scarier than Stalin...

I wouldn't say that this administration is "conservative". Yes, it has some conservative tendencies at times, but claiming one is conservative and being conservative are 2 entirely different things.
Kind of like the self annointed labels of "Progressives" by the liberals. In reality, there was a Progressive party in America at one time that promoted workers rights and general anti-trust laws in order to avoid monopolies. However, the Progressive party also wanted to make private ownership of business a thing of the past and wanted to cede control of all business to the government. Hardly anything progressive about that.
Would you approve of universal health care if it was monitored or regulated by an independent association/agency and not the government?
