I thought I may as well join in on attacking where someone lives rather than address the issues at hand. Michigan my home state is a RTW state now and with the beauty and splendor of her forests and the Great Lakes you should be careful how you talk about where others live. Especially considering where you now reside

24 states are RTW and the rest will follow its just a matter of time

You still ignored my post that RTW states get paid less that non RTW states, so yes, I will continue only living in non RTW states. That was not a jab at Michigan other than me saying I would never live there, which is a true fact....though I probably would of never lived there before it became a RTW state because I have never had any interest in that state, with no disrespect to those that live there.

both of my grandfathers were union members, one was a coal miner, the other was a railroad worker. and i still want unions dead these days. at one point they had a use, now they are dead weight that sucks the life out of companies.

In most cases those people who make less because they don't belong to a union ARE being paid the going rate. If the going rate for a particular occupation is $40k/year....a decent wage by any standard, then there is no reason why a person who is unionized should be making $70k/year for the same work. Then add in retirement and health benefits and you have someone making close to $100k/year........not bad for someone who either didn't even graduate high school or just completed high school, and certainly a good deal for someone who knows they can continuously screw up on the job and never have to worry about disciplinary action. Unions are not about making a "fair" wage, decent benefits, and standing for workers rights anymore; they are about making as much money as they possibly can, even if it bankrupts a company and leaves thousands others jobless as well as having a heavy influence in political campaigns to further their own causes. These idiots who are protesting in MI right now are a major reason why the people voted to get rid of unions. The general public doesn't want unions anymore in this state.

To continue the pay difference in RTW states check out , simplyhired.com , you can check out pay rates by state and by job. See the RTW states and the lower earnings moving to a place near you. Very interesting as it seems that RTW states do have lower earning rates.

In other threads the cost of living issue comes up check out zillow or realtor.com and see what the new earning for your job will get you and remember 20% down and about 30% for monthly payments on home.

The politicians on the right want to get rid of democracy a union is a form of pure democ. as 50%+1 is the rule in a union

Well if you live in that state, I guess you can enjoy seeing your pay go down.
