I agree. Without some kind of a reversal I think history will see the 60s as the beginning of the end for America. Equal rights for all was something we should have embraced. But the rest of it has caused a so-far irreversible decline. The apathy of some Americans, the ignorance of other Americans, and the greed of still other Americans are at dangerously high levels. The re-election of Obama was a bad sign of just how far the country has sunk. When Carter performed nearly as badly as Obama he was defeated in a landslide. A few decades later another leftist comes and does a similarly abysmal job and he wins. It's a bad sign.
