No, you're wrong. Cost of living is included in the analysis so try again.

Ancestral background and its easier to grow food in the south, disincenticivicng the need to save, learn other skills, etc. the north is more skilled, simply put. IMO, welfare has been holding pockets in this country back.

Your other wild claims are in New York and Pennsylvania. Look at the map and see how much lower the poverty rates are in those states vs just about the entire south.
The same people driving poverty in Camden are driving poverty in the South.

I live an hour away from Reading. That place is the same craphole that it's namesake in England is. Both are poor and crime ridden.

When the weather is warm enough for bums to sleep outside, they will. 20 Degrees below zero keeps the "riff-raff" out.

This was discussed in the Weather forum before, why warm areas of the world have more poverty than the cold ones.

With gas doubling in the Obama years, and food prices going out of control, the middleclass will be poor. Food stamps will flourish and in a few years we will be Greece with very high unemployment as businesses cut back because of Obamacare.

Many businesses are now going to part time workers and taking hours away from full time workers. Obama has NO VISION of the effects of his bad policies such as Obamacare in a bad economy . Obama may want to destroy the middle class and the wealthy will leave and take their businesses abroad so we will all be poor and need the government for entitlements. The socialism effect of a nation is known already and we will all be poor. The ruling class in Socialist Communist countries are the only wealth known.

Obama wants to spend your paycheck and distribute it through entitlements. Problem is the tax base will shrink as it is now and the entitlements will be cut. The lending to our country will stop and the day of reckoning will come and entitlements will cease and Greece will watch us riot. This president is committing financial suicide with his marxist policies.
