If we can all agree that we want democracy, let's start from there.
The problem is.....where it goes from democracy

Exactly. And this is where the term "fiscally conservative" has been perverted. Investing in your country's people is the responsible - ie "fiscally conservative" - thing to do. But too many believe being conservative means keeping all the $$$ locked up and unspent.

AND NO SIR. Corporation NEVER pays tax. Whatever tax they "paid" is pass on to customers at a higher price.
But doesn't it bother you that a company like GE uses roads, infrastructure, utilities built, services such as fire or police or emergency, that are paid for and maintained by public funding and then gets away with paying ZERO taxes? You are in effect paying their share of taxes.

A company that pays taxes could also reduce their profits or pay their high-paid executives less --- they wouldn't necessarily have to pass that cost on to the consumer.

Exactly. The U.S. is a republic, not a democracy. Why? Because the Founders were intelligent enough to understand that a system that would allow an outcome as we would see with 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner, a significant portion of citizens voting themselves ever-increasing freebies at others' expense, or a population that votes to scapegoat and unequally penalize a certain segment of the population, would end badly.

Denial is their best bet. These people won't shy away from claiming...
- Criminalization of homosexuality is what liberals promote
- One nation, one language, one religion, one race is something liberals want
- Anti-secularism is a liberal idea
- Banning collective bargaining and dismantling labor unions is a liberal idea
- Promotion of religion based morality is a liberal idea
- Anti-immigration stance is liberal
- Liberals hate communists and socialists
- Liberals hate Marx
- My nation is perfect and never wrong is a liberal stance
- Building military empire and massive investments in "battleships" is a liberal position

When stupidity is served for a particular segment of our society, it isn't difficult to spot the recipients targeted.

You sire, just keep proving that point.

There's a fine line between "investing" and "subsidizing". To say it's one thing while it's really another is giving Americans a false pretense of a better future.
