My fellow liberals are defending the Taliban. The people who believe that women are male property. Excuse me while I vomit. If they moved to America they'd run as Fred Phelps. What the heck do Muslims have to do to merit condemnation? Convert to Judaism and move to Israel?

Nonsense.
No one is defending the Taliban.
We are defending the right to expect that our military acts like the diplomats they are when in other countries.

But, I suppose that it would be better if they disrespected local customs and then were killed or tortured for it?

Not defending the Taliban. The Taliban are bad people, but they're bad people in Afghanistan, a place that i don't live in and have no interest in quibbling over.
