Well, if there is, it's NOTHING compared to the privilege that I as a WASP have always had in our North American cuture. It just completely blows my mind when I read things written by whites complaining about some pipsqueak advantage they think some one else might have. It's sorta like an elephant crying that a mouse has stolen his food.
Could someone please inform the writers of the article that Roseanne Barr is not black?
ETA: also, please tell hem that it's not a race riot if three black guys punch a white guy in the face, and then run up to a camera yelling "World Star Hip Hop!" That's just three dumb guys committing a street crime.
This is a joke right. I'm white however when in New York City I see black executives that can't hail their own cab because the cabbies won't pick them up. I have heard people using that damn N word when they see black people. I'm 60 years old and have done a whole lot of living but I can't think of one instance where being black had its priviledge.
Just for your information in the Martin case that white guy isn't a white guy he is a hispanic guy. Although Zimmerman is a jewish last name he is hispanic. But I do appreciate you thinking that us jews are white since the nazis didn't.
Black skin privilege means that you are guilty until proven guilty of a slightly lesser crime.
Black skin privilege means your gains are illegitimate.
Black skin privilege means getting your own personal concierge any time you walk in a store. They even do a courtesy check of your bags before you leave.
Black skin privilege means the assumption of being < those around you in terms of wealth, mental capacity and ability to function in society.
