I'm just wondering if your goal is to try to make everyone break even at the end?

I don't often play competitive games, for the reason that you note. Doing that kinda spoils the fun, and I can't help myself.

Yes, when I play Monopoly, instead of getting $200 for passing go, you have to pay a 50% tax on your income from the last round and the proceeds are given to the last place player. There are also some additional rules. When someone lands on the go to jail space, instead of going to jail they are given a free night at Boardwalk and an Obama phone. Before anybody anybody can build a hotel, they have to submit a 4 page environmental impact review form. Also, everybody is required to stop and take a ride on the Reading Railroad every time they pass it. The winner of the game is determined not by who has the most money, but who has the highest self-esteem at the end.

Do you play to win? Do you worry about hurting the other players feelings?

I prefer the "Pirates of the Carribean" version of LIFE where you can take the other person's ship by a good spin of the wheel

Best game though is Parcheesi; so easy to F someone over through strategy and have a great time doing it.

Chinese checkers. Block your opponents and watch them go nuts.

That's racist! But, in true Chinese Checkers you must borrow 46% of your marbles from your opponent before making an opening move.
