So when CAN we politicize it? How much time, according to you, should pass before we can debate the gun issue?

We were told not to politicize the last shooting in the Oregon mall so quickly, and since that happened just three days ago, when would have been the right time - according to you?

When we can't even go a WEEK between killings, when IS the RIGHT time to "politicize" it?

Ever?????

What we need more than just gun control is for America to do a better job of identifying and treating people with mental issues. Most of these mass shootings are being done by people with undiagnosed mental disorders. I'd bet this shooter fits that profile.

Oh, wait...we do have such laws. You mean this murderer broke them?
Yes -- here there are laws about going into a public school when you have no official reason or business to be there.

And there are laws and the law is posted at the doors that no firearms or other weapons are allowed inside.

We have laws about pot and meth -- but criminals disregard those too --- one of the easiest places to go to buy drugs is to a school.

A noble idea, but how do we do that?

Get it gun nuts?
Exactly. GUNS are not the average weapon. You can kill several people in a matter of minutes with a gun and they are too available, which is why it's so easy for an idiot to end up with on. This type of massacre could happen anywhere right now, where there is not strict security to get in, which means the grocery store, the library, the mall, the train, etc.

And it probably won't be the last one to happen sadly.

Look, it's very simple. The USA is already by far the most gun-violent nation on the planet among all first-world nations. It's not even close. You can't argue with this. And this will only continue to worsen the easier you make it for everyone and anyone to pick up a gun with little oversight.

No, and no. What makes you think this happened just because this was a public school?
