Just remember..."Never let a crisis go to waste". Jackels have jumped on this tragedy to further a political position.

As I have stated in another thread..
The focus is being placed on the shooter however it seems to be the same theme…”mentally ill” There has to be that theme present and names..there has to be some over the top reason as to why a person would choose such drastic measures and decide to use A GUN to kill his intended victims or random victims affiliated victims with this method..
This is not just random..Let us be honest with each other.. This is not news.. Not even accounting the recent past ..
We are getting over Aurora, Oregon and now? Conneticut?
All just happening to use guns as a method of death?
While many of us are indeed mourning the death of 20 babies, how they must have felt, the news as it was relayed to their parents/loved ones?
There are 2 parties present here..
1. Anti-Gun
2. Pro-gun

There are those that state banning guns for personal use
There are those stating “arm 5 year olds” Really? “Had the principal been packing that would have taken care of everything?” Umm I do not think so..
Nobody saw this coming..
This shooter shot his way through glass into the school, so the principal had a gun..would this have guaranteed a sure shot? Before he killed anyone?
The teacher in the kinder class was carrying a concealed weapon legally? Does this ensure no child would have been killed?
No..This is all speculation
Point is this person was most likely mentally ill! From the reports his brother stated that his brother ( the shooter) was suffering from a BPD and his mother had possession LEGALLY of 3 semi-automatic guns? That were e3asily accessible to him?
Hmmm/
Where did this go wrong? Mom knew her kid was not right and yet allowed her guns to be accessible to him? This makes her responsible if she were alive! Sadly she was not the only intended victim obviously..

SO WHERE TO GO FROM HERE?

If there are mentally ill running loose on society why are folks trying to disarm society. We should be allowed to protect ourselves from these people.

I'll give this guy some credit - //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...on-mental.html

A reasonable discussion based on a sensible premise.

And the one facet of this tragedy I want to most learn more about is whether the shooter had had previous contact with our increasingly-complicated educational and mental health bureaucracies. We pay a substantial, and increasing price for supposed security, but I suspect that Political Correctness, the "New Sensitivity", and issues among those supposedly in charge are blunting and weakening the effort.

Yes, let's deny the mentally ill of their constitutional rights on the small chance we might cut down on homicides.

No, what's sad is the insane still babbling about their 2nd Amendment rights and concocting all sorts of stupidity to justify their obsession with their testicle substitutes.

What's wrong with this country is a failure to expect/take personal responsibility.

The shooter is justifiably dead. The questions needed to be discussed by the appropriate people are, why he was able to obtain such excessive force weaponry and can such disturbed people be identified prior to their crazy acts.
