Yes, I think so. Kerry has the gravitas, he has the experience, and he has his dad's notes. He will do fine in the post, which after all is not much more than a patronage ambassadorship writ large. If Dan Rooney can adequately represent the interests of the United States in Dublin, then John Kerry can do the same on a wider stage.
His dad's notes. Kerry has been almost invisible since gwb squashed him. luke russert may have his dad's notes also but he is no Tim Russert-MTP.
"President Obama has decided to nominate Sen. John Kerry to be the next secretary of state and could make a formal announcement as early as next week, a Democrat who spoke to Kerry told CNN Saturday. The expected nomination follows U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice's decision to withdraw her name from consideration for the post."
Obama should have never caved in to the conservatives' demands. You know if this were Bush, he would have crammed it down the Dems' throats with glee and no restraint.
Being from MA, i have some perspective of the drunken senator who likes to play with the young gals and fleece his rich wife.
Another corrupt puppet, who is more than happy to let the puppet masters pull the strings, as long as HE get's the glory.
What a sham, and the only good that can come out of this, is that scott brown may take his seat...

Are you talking about the late Ted Kennedy or John Kerry?
