No. Those guns are taken someplace else to kill. Guns bought at gun shows have been used at mass killings. Guns bought at gun shows have been used to murder people.
We also know that......The older of the two killers could have bought his guns in a store legally, since he turned 18 before the Columbine attack. In a videotape made before the killings, the killers said that if they had not obtained their guns the way they did, they would have found other ways. There is no reason to disbelieve they wouldn't have followed through by even stealing.

When someone is hell bent on killing they will find a way.......although, guns like one person said takes out many, wait until bombings happen, then what will we do??

Another place guns are bought to murder people. The next thing there will be special stores where people can go to buy a gun to murder someone.

Oh, wait.....

How do we stop this? We begin by taking the first step and backing President Obama as he and the other leaders of our nation say "No" to the gun culture in this country. Yep. We have men and women in this country who are going to start telling the NRA they don't run things. Aren't you happy to hear that?

Let's put Wayne LaPierre on television with the mothers of the kids who were murdered and let them start asking him why no one has heard a peep from him the last few days. Then they could ask him why the NRA fights gun control laws. Ask him if his freedom to own a gun was worth the life of 20 first graders and six of their teachers.

And we stop equating owning a gun with being all macho and manly. Of course for a certain chunk of the gun owning population that would leave them impotent... but what the heck. No loss.

Penn & Teller provide this very informative and often humorous video on the question of gun control.

How did I change the story?
Media blackout: Oregon mall shooter was stopped by an armed citizen - Virginia Beach Conservative | Examiner.com
The civilian SAID he was taking cover behind a pillar.
Quote:
The friend and baby hit the floor. Meli, who has a concealed carry permit, positioned himself behind a pillar.
The civilian SAID that the shooters gun jammed.
Quote:
"He was working on his rifle," said Meli. "He kept pulling the charging handle and hitting the side."
Quote:
We now know that the assailant's gun had jammed, and when he cleared it, he quickly retreated and shot himself, as Meli continued to keep him in his sights.
The civilian SAID he took cover in a store.
Quote:
Meli took cover inside a nearby store. He never pulled the trigger. He stands by that decision.
The civilian SAID " I THINK that once he saw me..."
There is no way to know from across a mall if someone actually sees you unless they acknowledge you.
Looking in the general direction of someone who is taking cover behind a pillar, does not mean that you see them. There is no way to prove that the shooter actually saw him. Unless the shooter, who was messing with a jammed gun, said "I see you with the gun behind the pillar" OR yelled out "OH crud, that guy has a gun too" There is no mention of any of that happening.

So, AGAIN,how did I change the story?
