A massacre happened 85 years ago in which firearms were not used. How many massacres have happened in the last 85 years where they WERE used? How many massacres have happened in the last 85 years where dynamite was used?
If you want to go down that road.....how many people were killed with AUTOMOBILES Under the controll and operation of DRUNK DRIVERS.....using a deadly weapon in a lethal way.....while incapacitated?
May I suggest this link to you so you can see what probably caused all those dozens and dozens of gun massacres in the last 40 to 50 years? Well I will do it anyway.

This post is very sick at it's core. And very dangerous- all it does is establish a benchmark for the next gun nut with a bag full of 30 round clips who wants to break the record. Tell me, XXX; when, if ever, to you grieve? Does it take over 20 children to bring a tear to your eye, or is that not enough for you? Would 30 do it? Or 50?
What's the number for your compassion to finally kick into gear?
What the liberals don't understand-
Banning guns won't save society from the multitude of crazies out there who hear voices telling them to kill or blow up someone or something.
True progressives should demand mental health reform, not gun law reform.
They also won't save society from the angry drunks who are mad over their divorce, the sober people with deep feelings of injustice or being wronged by a fellow worker, the impulsive, or the idiots who think filling the air with lead is big fun.
They won't do a thing to stop the curious children who want to know how a gun works while mom and dad are out of the house.
Or the guy who just lost the fistfight he started over nothing much, but now he feels the need to display his prowess.
None of the above meet any of the definitions of mental disorder. Blaming those with mental problems is way too easy.
The point is that, while firearms are efficient weapons, and probably the preferred weapon of psychotic assh**es, taking them away from the entire citizenry will not cause those psychotic assh**es to suddenly not be psychotic assh**es. At most, that will make the psychotic assh**es employ some other method to demonstrate their psychotic assh**ishness. And as has been shown, those other methods can be just as deadly, if not quite as easy.
