What does the term 'Arms' mean to you in the phrase 'Right To Bear 'Arms''?
Well, the problem is that most liberals have no clue what the Constitution says. They never read it. They would rather be rid of it. That's why they support Obama.
Liberals think the Constitution is antiquated, meaningless in "todays world" and therefore has no practical application. They are socialists. They cannot think for themselves. In fact, they cannot think at all. Basically, they are very stupid people. They are lackeys.
So you are suggesting that the founding fathers were referencing automated weapons? Oh yes. That seems entirely likely.
The second amedment deals with the right to bear arms. Period. It made no argument for any particular weapon (You don't know this? Have you even read the Second Amendment?) It says, "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
The fundamental premise is that a person has a natural right to self-defense, without which there can be no liberty.
The kinds of weapons is irrelevant.
But this argument obfuscates the real problem, which is crime, and specifically the crime of murder. Guns are not the problem.
Will disarming the citizens at large solve the problem of murder? Certainly not! People with intent to kill will obtain guns. Unarmed citizens will be left defenseless. Is that morally right? What kind of solution is that?
Had either of the two courageous women who attempted to take this kid down, and giving their own lives in the process, had ready access to a gun, they may have saved many lives, including their own. But, they were defenseless!
Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Exactly, and courts of law have already written in regards to original intent, that "the people" refers to "individual citizens."

Regulating who is allowed on the school campus may help.
What a joke! Do you not think the Columbine shooters should have been on campus? They were students there! This guy Lanza broke in, in other words, he entered illegally.
The real threat that sovereign law abiding U.S. citizens are facing right now is the liberal media. They are establishing a narrative on behest of the president and his political cohorts to saturate the masses with disinformation that will garner support in subverting the Constitution, namely the 2nd Amendment, a major national security blanket for the United States. The media is telling you that guns are the heart of the problem ....................they are not. Guns have not caused these tragic shootings that America has been experiencing the last 20 years. The NRA is not to blame either. What really is to blame is a radical flawed ideology called liberalism. The media has embrace it and will stop at nothing until the goal of transforming America into a progressivism state of mind. They are the main assault weapon that you, the American citizen faces.
