I thought this was a joke but apparently Bloomberg thinks nobody needs a 8 inch kitchen knife other than chefs. This is all due to 4 murders that took place in New York and the weapon used was a kitchen knife. Do any of you agree that a background check should be imposed on people who need a 8 inch or longer kitchen knife to cut up a Thanksgiving turkey, ham or brisket? LMAO!!

No one but a professional chef needs an entire collection of kitchen knives. Why was this person, who had a criminal record, able to buy kitchen knives with no sort of background check? Because anyone can walk into a hardware or kitchen-supply store and buy any knife they want as easily as they can buy a blender or a colander.

New Yorkers are all talk. They proclaim they are real and tough, but you'll never meet a people more beholden to big government and unindependent . I grew up their I know. 40,000 phone calls per hour to 911 during the Hurricane .just from NYC.Sad... They want somebody to come rescue them. They like being told what to do!
I was out in the Hamptons last month and Mayor Bloomberg daughter was out walking around downtown Southampton with a bodyguard. Im sure he wasnt armed though since her father hates guns!

What a bunch of jerks! Who would ever call 911 during a huge emergency like a hurricaine...
They should have manned up and stopped that massive storm surge and brought the power back on in their neighborhoods through their own sense of self-determination.
