The cowboy state of Texas had 20 people mowed down in minutes and their law to have open carry failed miserably at preventing or even mitigating this disaster. I thought open carry was supposed to prevent such tragedies? I think they’ve watched wayyy too many Westerns.

...gunman Patrick Crusius, 21, did not appear to be deterred by the possibility of any armed shoppers.

In fact, it was police, not armed civilians, who stopped the attacks in both El Paso and later that night in Dayton, Ohio, where a gunman killed nine people in yet another mass shooting.

How do you know it didn't work? Were any of the victims open carrying a firearm?

You’ll have to go to their funerals and ask.

What kind of ignorant logic made you think that?

Unless you've read or been told that one of more of the victims was open carrying a firearm, why would you start such a stupid thread?

Lol. Angry? No worries. I believe the lone star state enacted the law naively thinking it would prevent such tragedies.

Just because it's open carry, does not mean that every single person carries....sheesh....

And since you like to play games....El Paso is clearly blue, overwhelmingly voted for Hillary in 2016.....

So, they were probably to scared to even look at a gun, much less carry a gun....

Open carry works to stop gun violence as well as decriminalizing border crossings to stop illegal immigration...
