I see this, ridiculous idea as doing nothing more than putting people who are currently working out of a job.

that is true, and is also one of the aims.

We put the regular workers out of a job so we then have 2 people to work for free (actually for Welfare money).

so we are basically getting rid of most min wage jobs.

This will save money and increase the quality of life for all those above the threshold.
