........ and in each one there was a line of customers waiting for their newly purchased firearms to be run through the FBI NICS check. None of the three that I visited were able to call in to the FBI because the lines are so busy. None of the dealers able to get on manufacturers websites to order merchandise for their store because most of the major sites have crashed due to extremely high volume, or so I was told. At two of the dealers, there were at least three gentleman at each one looking to buy thousand round bricks of .223 ammo. Some of the guys were those that I'd seen at the previous store. At least one man was looking to buy several AR 15's before they were no longer available, citing that all the major retailers have either pulled them from their shelves, or sold out of them and cannot find any more to order.
This seems to b the trend nationwide and will continue to be so in the weeks ahead..............
While I was reading your post, I started humming to myself "Lee Greenwood's Proud to be an American" song....and it brought a tear to my eye. It must have been a beautiful sight to have seen that in person. I'm a bit jealous.

I can't lie, despite our disagreements, this guy cracks me up ^
Getting a bit crazy out there though, everything's sold out, even handgun ammo availability is becoming spotty.
People are so stupid. Always complaining about taxes, gas prices, etc., but then they waste hundreds or thousands of dollars on guns they will never use anyway

Well, not exactly.
If the apocalypse does not occur, you can blow that ammo at the range in a few long sessions.

Well, I'm gonna tell ya, it wasn't a beautiful sight for me. It was great to see Americans exercising their rights, yes, but it was very sad to contemplate just why they are being forced to do it.
