Gawd that never gets old for some of you guys doesn't it.
I can say that video games are a lot more relaxing than being in a relationship.

The whole premise is that today's young men aren't "growing up" because they are not doing all 5 as soon as men of earlier generations.

However 80% of that can be explained by economics. The standard of living has risen at the same time wages have flatlined/decreased. Also, entry level/early career jobs that pay actual livable wages are drying up and tend to require a college education, something that wasn't as necessary before if you wanted to get to work and make a living wage. College is something that was always only met for 25% of the population at the most, now its increasingly a requirement for a decent life.

There are less jobs in manufacturing, etc. There are less young men who are IN A POSITION to take on a wife & kids and/or a mortgage. Hell, less can even afford an apartment on their own, many people still have roommates deep into their late 20s.

And before a whole lot of people respond, I am not saying there are NO people without a college education who have a liveable wage, or that there are NO manufacturing jobs, or that the cost of living is high EVERYWHERE, just that these things are bigger impediments to independence that they ever were before. Throw in huge college loan debt AND the fact that you no longer have to marry to get regular sex, and there you have it.

I'd like to see how many men are hitting these milestones by 35 as opposed to 30. I'm guessing it's a lot different with that extra 5 years tacked on.
Yes combined with women chasing stability and lots of men can't provide it you are what's happening in he black community .

The same people who talk love are the same ones who aren't single it's a money thing.

Adam Lanza and James Holmes are two names that come to mind. Why is it that mass murderers are almost always young men? Why don't young women behave the same way? Sadly, Adam Lanza and James Holmes are just the tip of the iceberg of a much larger problem in our society.

Our young women vastly outperform our young men in almost every important statistical category. Young men are much more likely to perform poorly in school, they are much more likely to have disciplinary problems and they are much more likely to commit suicide.

In the old days, our young men would gather in the streets or in the parks to play with one another after school, but today most of them are content to spend countless hours feeding their addictions to video games, movies and other forms of entertainment.

When our young men grow up, many of them are extremely averse to taking on responsibility. They want to have lots of sex, but they aren't interested in marriage.

They enjoy the comforts of living at home, but they don't want to go out and pursue career goals so that they can provide those things for themselves. Our young men are supposed to be "the leaders of tomorrow", but instead many of them are a major burden on society. When are we finally going to admit that something has gone horribly wrong?

There is even a name for this generation of young men that does not want to grow up. It is called the "Peter Pan generation". They want to enjoy the benefits of being grown up without ever taking on the responsibilities.

22 Stats That Prove That There Is Something Seriously Wrong With Young Men In America
Its always the end of our way of life. Since Plato said that the youth were corrupted in ancient Greece. LOL its always the good old days, do you mean when women did not have the right to vote? And rule of thumb was you could beat your wife if the stick was no thicker than your thumb? Or blacks could not vote or eat at the same lunch counter as whites? Or the KKK marched on Washington in mass? The good old days are never ever what the myths of today say they were. Total BS
