Two people were shot in San Diego late Monday after meeting a potential buyer who was responding to a Craigslist advertisement.

The shooting victims posted an ad to sell an iPhone on the popular online website and then arranged to meet a prospective buyer in a McDonald’s parking lot.

When the two parties met, the buyer got into the couple’s BMW and then pulled a gun on the sellers.

More ridiculous gun violence. We have to live with it, unfortunately.

But I don't really understand why people try to sell things on Craigslist. I use eBay and Amazon to sell all of my stuff, and I don't have to deal with any strangers in person.

Oh, poor you. Can't pass any ineffective measures and feel better about yourself.

Guess you're not too happy with CA's strict gun control?

If you are selling something dangerously expensive on Craigslist, all you have to do is tell the buyer to meet you in the lobby of the police station to make the exchange. If they have criminal intentions, they won't show up.

There are a lot of selfish people who think their right to own a deadly important is worth the 9000 needless deaths caused by guns a year.

Poor me? What - you're happy with gun violence?

Actually, I'm very happy with California's gun control laws. Gun death rates in this state are below the average for the U.S., and San Diego and San Jose have extremely low gun death rates.

That's an excellent idea. Thank you.

Cool. So does Vermont, since you want to get anecdotal.

So tell me, what specifically would you like to see done to prevent this kind of crime in California?

That is not possible. The Brady campaign ranks California as the number #1 state with the strictest gun laws......

For the few times i've bought and sold on Craigslist, I always carry a handgun to the exchange. Not a chance in hell i'd go without it.

It's only "not possible" to obstinate gun nuts who can't stand the fact that people are now seriously talking about the level of gun violence in this country. The nuts feel threatened.

Rant on, honey. It doesn't matter a whit.

Anecdotal? I provided facts from the CDC.

Nothing. I think people have to be wise about meeting with strangers. That's the main purpose of this post. Now, if you want to get all defensive and hyped up about it, that's your prerogative.
