Hitler didn't take guns away from the average German--read a history book instead of a crazy blog. Prior to the 30's, Germany had gun registration just like we do. Hitler rose to power and took over the government because of PROPAGANDA--not because he took the government by force. He had broad popular support. Once he had the entire country under his control, he loosened gun restrictions for all but targeted populations--Jews etc. were restricted from gun ownership, but that was it, and most of them obviously died unless they hid or got out before the war. It was easier for most Germans to access weapons after Hitler came into power than before.

Funny you should mention propaganda. It's exactly what our so-called media is doing here. Before you know it, the government won't have to take all guns, just the ones of those that may fight back. How convenient - to arm your followers (unions?), and disarm your critics (conservatives).

Well when you put it down in this way, in this context, does give you something to think about! whether one agrees or not.
Sometimes control is taken away, slowly but surely, and naively, and not discreetly, and when it is too late, people want to know how it happened.

And just so you know, Shooting a gun in a croweded theatre is ALSO ILLEGAL,

How was it "indiscriminate?" According to many, he may have been well within his rights.
How do you know it wasn't self-defense? How do you know this kid didn't feel threatened as a result of the argument?
I'm honestly kind of surprised that more people aren't trying to justify this incident like they tried to justify that shooting in the Florida parking lot.
