So the rumors have become so rampant in Michigan that they decided to close 33 schools tomorrow. Not because they think the world is ending, but because they fear the people who are fearful, like the "Preppers" for the apocalypse and what they might do.

After reading the article, I actually agree with the school districts.

They aren't doing it because of the 'end of the world' predictions. They are doing it to protect the kids against the potential crazies out there who want to take the lives of others (probably thinking they're doing them a favor).

Wow, nuts!

I hope there are not too many headlines on Saturday about mass murders, or parents killing their children and themselves. I mean, if the loonies want to kill themselves, fine, but not the children, FGS.

That's the ironic thing. They are actually closing schools to keep kids safe from the people who are afraid the world is ending.

WTF is wrong with people? Can we just re-open the loonie bins and throw the preppers inside...

Default End of the World

I wonder what the Mayans think of this nonsense.

Saw this:

Did you hear the joke about the 2 Mayans, one of them goes up to the other and says "Hey, the tequila's ready! Come have some!" The other one says "I can't, I have to finish this calendar....oh well, the world won't end if I don't finish it!"

I think that depending on where you live in the US....the idea of the world ending becomes increasingly attractive.
