Quote:
Unable to get enough support for a small tax raise on Americans earning more than $1 million, the GOP has canceled a House vote on legislation meant to avoid the "fiscal cliff."

-House Speaker John Boehner said it is now up to President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to figure out "legislation to avert the fiscal cliff." [more]
No surprise @ all.... OBAMA PROBABLY PAID THEM OFF TO NOT HAVE THE VOTE -- HE WANTS THINGS TO CRASH -- Its part of his grand plan!!!!!!!! (When are ppl going to wake up and realise this??)

or maybe the republicans are split and don't want to do their job. After all their job is to protect the top 2%.

It's too bad the real Plan B wasn't yet available for John Boehner's mother.

I guess they decided that "the he'll with it", and just voted something they know will never pass. What a waste of taxpayer money.

This lack of a vote tonight plainly says exactly what we said during th election over and over: the Republican party is the party of the rich and powerful. If they can't even bring themselves to raise taxes on the richest 2% of people in America, we now have proof that they are bought and paid for by the oligarchs in this country. I mean really, there is no other interpretation!

Maybe most House members realized this plan would have no chance of passing the Senate so decided not to bother passing it?

Lets see Dems plan including details on their recommended cuts to entitlement programs and see if you are happy with them.

Our problems are so big that everyone will wind up paying more in taxes and there will be substantial cuts in govt programs. Both parties are just spewing BS right now.
