Yes it is. Our rights are more important. If you want to repeal the 2nd amendment, then do so. Until then, it's still a part of the Bill of Rights and therefore must be protected along with our other rights, as being worth more than life.

I guess in your alternate world the newspapers on Dec 8 would have read "President tropical87 surrenders to Japan after attack on Pearl Harbor. President states protecting American freedoms not worth any lives"
