You get caught in a lie and all you can say is "noted"....really? I am glad my parents taught me morals and that lying is wrong.
You have still refused to provide any facts behind your statement below. I don't see how you can try and convince other people that you ideas are right and true when you seem to lie whenever it suits you. It's a despicable habit where I don't see anything you say has any value if you do not have the integrity to care about truth, and don't care to.

My post was about wishing I had lived during the robber baron era....everyone knows that we have a much greater drug problem today than back then.
No income tax, no SS tax, no welfare, no medicare, no medicaid, very, very few single mothers with "baby daddy's" not taking responsibility.
Not to mention the outstanding business opportunities that were afforded the citizens of America.
I would have lived like a king!
Actually, you would have been forced into a factory as a 6 year old, gotten black lung at age 11 and been illiterate, sick with polio and dead by age 30.
There's a reason why the country enacted all those laws and why unions formed and why things changed so drastically...it's because only a tiny handful of people succeeded, the rest lived in squalor.
Some of the things posted here on C-D by RWNJs are beyond ignorant, they're downright delusional. They actually think that there were more opportunities to rise from poverty to great wealth than today and that life was better for all. They are truly a crazy lot.

Please either back up your claim or stop lying. Everyone knows something to be true because they can prove it to be true. Everyone doesn't know something to be true if they cannot prove it to be true, unless they are delusional.
What is it that is so hard about telling the truth?

If you really believe this crap, it is same as believing that Bill Clinton created millions of private sectors jobs (the dot com revolution) by raising tax.
Unions and regulations did nothing. Technology and medical advancement are the reason why we are safer.
Government or unions don't care about you, they only look at their bottom line. Government is about power grab, transfer the people's power to the government. As for unions, they only care about unions fee. If the unions really care, why do they get pay 10 times or more than average unions member get paid? Did I mention they have a separate retirement plan than their members?

Another genius who doesn't understand history....only parrots what they learned in school.
Most people who do not know history think that everyone worked for peanuts and there was no middle class before unions.
In fact, there was a thriving middle class....people who started businesses to feed the masses, clothe the masses, build luxury items for the wealthy, and built many, many buildings, bridges and roads.
I absolutely would have been in the 5% back then as well.
Exactly. Back then you had four choices:
1. Start a business as a merchant
2. Be a farmer and live off what you grew/hunted
3. Work in a business or join the military
4. Be a lazy bum and beg in the streets
Yeah, I wish for a time when you could put heroin (and quite a few did) in medicine and food and sell it to others in order to get them addicted and overdosed with horrible drugs given to you against your will. That must have been a great time.
Want some heroin adulterated snake oil?
Don't stop there. Codeine was the ingredient in 7-up and cocaine was of course in Coke.
There are so many more drug addicts today than ever before.
Make no mistake folks back in the day sweat booze. If one was to consider alcohol in line with run of the mill drugs, our intake of mind altering drugs was the same, perhaps more back in the day.
