Description:An enormously bright Christmas display at a house in Fountain Valley is attracting crowds from far and wide, as well as controversy among neighbors. Jan Stewart covered her home with 65,558 Christmas lights and synced them all to music. The display, which is in its second year, is in memory of Stewart’s late husband. But the display doesn’t inspire Christmas spirit in everyone, as some neighbors have complained to the police.
Awesome display, but having little children myself, I would be concerned if I lived next door and it cause them trouble going to bed each night. My guess is most of the neighbors dislike the traffic it brings.
Yeah it's all nice and fun unless you are the neighbors!!
Ok, I can see that being a neighbor may mean it taking a bit longer getting to my house, or somewhere, but seriously? less than 1 month a year.
I don't even celebrate christmas, but even I can enjoy the the light show, and work that went into it.
Reminds of a saying i heard years ago.
If one wants to complain, they will find no shortage of things to complain about.
Why not accept it, yes it makes life a bit more difficult living as a neighbor to all this, and remember, that the rest of the 11 months and several days of the year, she is a good neighbor.
Is anyone else thinking of "Christmas Vacation" right now?
I would be annoyed as their neighbor, but as a passer-by I would probably think it was pretty cool. Are there any regulations on these things, or is it fair game during the holidays?
P.S. Nunnor is no longer a member (predicted that one), but I too wish her a Happy Holidays - just in case she is still lurking.

I suppose you are sort of right. It sure beats listening to ghetto rap music with high base all the time. The other houses in the hood shouldn't be too bad but the house directly across the street....HAHA good luck with all that light flashing! It would drive me nuts. Everyone is different of course and have a different level of tolerance.
We shoot off mortar shells from our yard to reign in the birth of the little baby jesus. We also do the same for halloween/valentine's day/hanukkah/mortal sinful peoples' birthdays......maybe, I should bring this up at the next family reunion; it does seem a bit, how do I say......much(?)
