lets get serious, this was a question on a public forum, not anything more or less. do you want pumpkin pie or apple? would you give up your gun to save one child or 1,000. no real qualifiers just a hypothetical question. how many people weaseled and had to add qualifiers to a simple question?
50 people, last time I looked wouldn't give up a gun to save 1,000 children. pathetic and selfish. I would give up my gun for the life of one child no question asked.

Like I've said before, silly hypothetical questions require the same kind of answer. Not selfish or pathetic (you don't know me so unless you're channeling Kreskin you'll not be able to tell anything from a poll answer).
You know what I've noticed? Has anyone seen a ideological bent to the posts where names are being called?

This is why people are not taking your poll seriously, it is an attack question. We could all do something heroic to save another but in reality, we seldom do. Police, firefighters, military, they do, but normal schmucks do not take efforts to save people even though in truth we could. You are only asking one group of people to give up something to save the children. What can non-gun owners do to save some kids?
Pray that the guys in blue that have 'em show up, then wail about lawsuits or how racist (or both) they were when they're not fast enough.
first off the question is an Ethical Dilemma, not a question about certain guns or calibers. You guys are like the person at the Psychologists office who is shown ink blots and keeps saying they see two people having sex and when the Psychologist says you have a lot of sex on your mind they say your the one with the dirty pictures. LOL Its just gone over your head.
I flunked the ink blot test, all I saw were ink blots.

GUN FREE NEW YORK...how? I mean, if guns are BANNED and arson is illegal, murder is illegal and an ex-con in possession of firearms is illegal...HOW? Why didn't the LAWS prevent all of this?
Answer: LAWS do nothing on their own....what STOPPED this guy? A GUN in the hands of the good guy.
