You are welcome to redefine Human Killing Rifles if you have a better thought.

What makes these countries very different from us is that one is much, much less likely to be murdered there. Let's just compare these MURDER rates per 100,000 of population:

USA 5.2
Australia 0.8
Austria 0.5
Belgium 1.2
Canada 1.7
Switzerland 0.5
Germany 0.5
Denmark 0.7
Spain 0.7
Finland 1.8
France 0.8
UK 0.3
Greece 1.4
Ireland 0.8
Iceland 0.3
Israel 2.2
Italy 0.7
Japan 0.3
South Korea 1.1
Luxembourg 0.4
Netherlands 0.9
Norway 2.3
New Zealand 1.9
Portugal 0.9
Sweden 1.0

We are a pariah amongst the rich having a murder rate THREE TIMES higher than the average industrial nation.
None of those countries are comparable to the United States in terms of geography, demographics, and total population. If you want to prove that gun control works, then try comparing gun violence in cities within the United States which have strict gun regulations versus cities within the United States which do not have strict gun regulations. Comparing the entirety of Spain to the entirety of the United States is a worthless comparison. Comparing apples to oranges serves yields no useful conclusions.

Gun control works!
Gun control is unconstitutional, so whether it works or not is ultimately irrelevant.

Plus the US murder rate has dropped massively since 1992, yet the number of guns has almost doubled. So what's the problem? More guns, better policing (keeping violent criminals off the streets), and better education are working.
The number of children killed in firearms accidents has plummeted too, in spite of the Brady Bunch's hysteria mongering.... look it up.

Cities are a poor analogy unless there are strict regulations on the state level, very easy to get guns from surrounding areas. One reason that gun control works fairly well in NYC is that the surrounding area also has strict laws. It would be nice if places like Georgia had similar laws since that is where most of the imports originate.

There are plenty of countries where gun control works, you don't need a perfect match in demographics.

There are many examples but you're not interested in logic or stats so what's the point? Lol
You forgot to respond to the line about the constitution....

If you want to trade liberty for security, you deserve and shall receive neither... but it would be more polite to us who actually care about freedom, if you would join one of the nations based on that model, rather than fighting to change our individual liberty model into an authoritarian model. Or are you just trying to stamp-out freedom world-wide?

In 2010 there were 166,596,102 background checks completed since 1/1/1999. FBI statistic.

More FBI statistics; the percentage change in crime rates between 1999 and 2010 are:

VIOLENT CRIME

Since 1999, the rate of total violent crimes has dropped 22.8%
Since 1999, the rate of murders has dropped 16.1%
Since 1999, the rate of forcible rapes has dropped 16.3%
Since 1999, the rate of aggravated assaults has dropped 24.5%

PROPERTY CRIME

Since 1999, the total rate of property crimes has dropped 21.4%
Since 1999, the rate of burglaries has dropped 9.2%
Since 1999, the rate of larceny/thefts has dropped 21.5%
Since 1999, the rate of motor vehicle thefts has dropped 43.5%

This doe not mean "more guns=more safety", to assume that would be a logical fallacy... but it does mean that the claims of "More guns=more crime" are completely false and statistically untrue.

Man creates law to protect man from other man and government
Man uses gun to protect life, liberty and to secure food.

Man uses gun to kill other man
Government restricts gun access
Government collects guns and removes law protecting man

Man loses liberty but man can no longer kill other man.

Government and criminals with guns kills man.

------

Which do you want America liberty and life or death and to the illusion of safety?
